Do you love a pub quiz as much as we do? We have created our very own pub quiz for you take take part in, in your local pub, all whilst raising vital funds for Rossendale Hospice.
Helena Keane has taken on the mammoth challenge of the 2025 London Marathon on Sunday 27th April! We caught up with her recently as she shared her connection of the hospice and why she decided to fundraise for us. ''So I got into running from my dad! My dad is a huge runner, he’s participated in 4 marathons! I always remembered growing up my dad would always run before work every morning! He inspired me to get some running shoes and try it myself! I can not wait for him to watch me at the London marathon. Running is massive for me, I’ve ran competitively which I’ve loved but I mainly run for my head and mindset! It’s the best type of therapy. I’ve wanted to run for Rossendale hospice with it being a local charity and I wanted to do my bit to help support you as much as I can!'' Valley Netwalking with Shout In aid of Rossendale Hospice We are thrilled to be part of the Valley Netwalking with Shout , taking place on Friday 25th April from 1pm to approx. 3pm We’ll be venturing through the picturesque areas of Rossendale and Ramsbottom, beginning and ending at The Cotton Tree, Helmshore. We’ll end the walk as any good walk should, back at the pub! This event is open to non-members as well as members of Shout and is not restricted to single sector. Everyone is welcome, even the dog! We can’t guarantee the weather, but we can guarantee a great laugh and lots of opportunities along the way. The walk will cover 4-5 miles and good walking shoes are advised. Road parking is available What to bring: Appropriate footwear and walking attire is a must A snack and a drink Poo bags if you’re bringing the pooch A friend or colleague Money for the pub (should you wish to continue networking after the walk) Dogs must be on a lead Cost Non-members £10 Members free All proceeds to Rossendale Hospice Sign up today!
Throughout the next 12 months, we will be celebrating local salons throughout Rossendale and the Valley as 'Beauty Heroes' Each month starting May 2024, a salon will take the spotlight as our Beauty Hero. They will be giving all their clients that month the chance to add a minimum of £1 to their bill. The money raised will come to Rossendale Hospice and help fund our vital services to support those in the community that need it most. Thinking of making the jump for Rossendale Hospice?? You can sign up for a skydive to raise money for Rossendale Hospice without costing you a penny! You can even pick the date and location of your choice! When you sign up with Skyline Skydiving, you agree to try to raise a minimum sponsorship of £395 to cover the cost of the deposit, the skydive and a little extra for ourselves. Anything raised over the minimum amount will go to the Hospice. If you do not manage to raise the mimimum required sponsorship, you will be asked to pay the remaining amount on the day of your skydive. Jump in today and sign up here! A special tribute to the ones you love Remember your loved ones with a Sunflower dedication this summer. Starting from 3rd June, hundreds of sunflowers will line the streets of Rossendale, each standing tall as a tribute to those who have been remembered. Sunflowers stay up until the end of July. Throughout the last few years many people have supported each other through tough times and despite the odds they stepped up to help. Now is the time to recognise these hidden gems in our community. Local heroes have been nominated by grateful members of our community and finalists, their families and Rossendale Supporters will be invited to attend an awards ceremony to share their good works. Categories are: Man of the Year Woman of the Year Young Person of the Year Community Group of the Year Supportive Business of the Year Supportive School of the Year Hospice Star of the Year and our main award - Pride of the Valley Award Ceremony Details: Friday 20th June 2025 Time: 6.30pm for 7pm start Ticket price to be confirmed however, it will include a welcome drink, 2 course meal and entertainment.
