We have an amazing network of artisans, makers and creatives, all focused on supporting Rossendale hospice with their skills. We call them the Hospice Handmade Heroes.
We have an amazing network of artisans, makers and creatives, all focused on supporting Rossendale hospice with their skills. We call them the Hospice Handmade Heroes.
Early in 2022 we put a call out for local makers to help us with a little creative project for our shops and were blown away by the response of those wishing to help.
Soon we were inundated with donations of knitted blankets, macrame plant hangers and crochet teddies that went off to our shops and brought in more funds to help fund our services.
Thrilled at the generosity of our new supporters and the response from our shoppers to their creations, we decided to turn them into a brand so we developed Hospice Handmade Heroes.
These items all now carry our branding and can be purchased through our shops, at fairs and online in the knowlegde that not only are they brand new, they meet safety standards and are handcrafted with love exclusively for Rossendale Hospice.
You are welcome to make your version of the items listed below, these patterns or colours do not have to be strictly adhered to.
We do however appreciate you following the guidelines for materials to allow us to comply with British Standards.
If you have an idea for a new product, please contact melanie.jenkins@rossendalehospice.org to see if your idea can be incorporated into items for patients or for sale.
Items you make for Rossendale Hospice can be dropped at our reception Monday to Friday 8.30 - 4.30pm or at either of our shops Monday - Saturday 9.30 - 4.30. Please tell the shops they are for the FUNDRAISING DEPARTMENT so they can be distributed correctly. Thank you.
