We were thrilled to run our first Leaf Night of 2024 at the end of February. Due to covid and struggling to find an engraver, it has been a number of years since we were able to host a Leaf Night. To host one at the start of this year meant so much to the hospice and our supporters.
For those that don't know, we have a Giving Tree that stands proudly in our Reception area and is one of the first things you see as you come into the hospice. The tree is full of bronze and silver leaves which a supporter is eligible for once they have raised a minimum of £1,000 for the hospice.
Once you inform us of the dedication that you would like on your leaf, whether in memory of a loved one or to celebrate an achievement, we then send this off to our engravers. Once the leaf has been engraved and is displayed on the tree, we host a Leaf Night for supporters to come and celebrate their achievements.
The reason for the Leaf Night is for the hospice to have a chance to say thank you for the effort that supporters show and to celebrate this with friends and family as well as the opportunity to see the dedication on the tree.
We usually hold around 2 Leaf Nights a year and it is a very much loved event to those that attend.
